Insurance Claims
Insurance claim reports are carried out on new houses, apartments & other
properties where usually an accident has happened or a
structural defect is present: The most common circumstances for
this type
of report are:
- In the event of flooding of the property.
- Internal problems to a property such as leaks in the bathroom
or kitchen area.
- Damage caused to a property in the event of fire, electrical
faults.
- External problems such as leaking roofs, blocked sewers,
wind damage.
- Structural problems such as cracks to the walls of the property,
subsidence &
settlement of the foundations, damage to boundary
walls.
- Extreme weather damage to a property such as strikes from
lightning.
The inspection concentrates on identifying what caused the damage
to the property. The remedial works required and the approximate
costs to carry out the works. The engineers normally work with
the knowledge of the property owners insurance company. The insurance
company should always be contacted immediately when damage has
been noticed to the property in order that they may carry out their
own assessment.
The cost of the inspection & written report starts at €325.00
for a three bedroom house. The cost may vary with regard to location & the
floor area of the property. The purchaser will be briefed after
the report has been carried out & the written report is normally
sent out within five working days.
